The two Erlanger Police Department officers involved with the shooting were Sergeant Chad Girdler and Patrolman Greg Pohlman.

(Erlanger, Ky.) - The two officers involved in the shooting of a suspect in Erlanger last week have been identified.
Dexter Helton, 40, of Florence, was shot as he attempted to flee from two Erlanger officers who came to arrest him on a warrant at Peecox Bar & Grille on Donaldson Highway last Wednesday night, April 25. Kentucky State As he tried to run, police said, Helton drew a firearm and pointed it at the officers.
Those officers were Sergeant Chad Girdler and Patrolman Greg Pohlman. At least one of the officers shot Helton.
“This action caused a life threatening situation for the officers involved and they were forced to discharge their firearms,” state police previously said.
Girdler and Pohlman were not injured.
As of Monday, Helton is listed as medically stable at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Kentucky State Police are still investigating the officer-involved shooting.
