The commission is considering other recommendations for state lawmakers to consider in 2019.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – A state task force conducting an in-depth review of Indiana’s alcohol laws is likely to conclude a two-year study without recommending cold beer sales.
The Alcohol Revision Commission announced Friday its preliminary recommendations for state lawmakers to consider in 2019, reports The Journal Gazette.
Last year, the commission recommended ending the prohibition on carryout alcohol sales, but this year the commission has yet to take a stance on the law.
However, the commission has recommended tinkering with the population-based alcohol sales permit quota system, in addition to adding tougher penalties for stores who sell alcohol to minors.
The commission has yet to make any formal proposals, but is scheduled to vote on recommendations at its final meeting later this month.
