Huey Helicopter Rides Return to Aurora Memorial Day Weekend

Rides will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Visitors to Southeast Indiana can take a ride in a real Huey Helicopter over Memorial Day weekend.

Ten-minute rides will run from the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club in Aurora on Saturday, May 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will also include food trucks, restrooms, and free parking.

Cost is $100 per person, with children un 12 riding for $50. All rides are first-come, first-serve.

The Huey Helicopter was a multipurpose military helicopter used heavily during the Vietnam War. The City of Aurora is home to a Huey monument at Lesko Park in honor of all Vietnam veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.
