(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg’s 27 percent revenue slide in November caused the property to fall back to second in the tri-state gaming market. New monthly revenue numbers were released Wednesday by the Indiana Gaming Commission. The report shows Hollywood Casino reporting $13.8 million in revenue last month, down from about $19 million in November 2013. Hollywood’s attendance decreased 23 percent to 123,275. Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati claimed November’s top spot in the region with $15.8 million in revenue, down about 10 percent from last year. The Lawrenceburg riverboat is hoping the addition of the Lawrenceburg Event Center nearby will help boost admissions and, in turn, revenues. This week the new Doubletree by Hilton hotel began welcoming guests at the new $55 million facility operated by Hollywood. Rising Star general manager said the law change would allow the property to be more competitive. The idea received a favorable recommendation from an interim study committee at the statehouse in October. Revenues at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Switzerland County fell by 16.5 percent from $10.1 million to $8.43 million. Attendance was down about 15 percent to 84,241 during the month.
