Harrison-Symmes Memorial Foundation to Host Parade to William Henry Harrison Tomb

The event will celebrate the anniversary of our 9th president's birthday.

(North Bend, Oh.) - The Harrison-Symmes Memorial Foundation is inviting community members to celebrate the anniversary of President William Henry Harrison’s birth.

A parade to the tomb of William Henry Harrison will take place on Friday, February 6.

Participants are asked to gather at the North Bend Municipal Building (21 Taylor Avenue) at 10:30 a.m.

The walk to the Harrison Tomb, which is approximately three blocks, begins at 10:45. A wreath laying ceremony will follow at 11:00.

William Henry Harrison was born in 1773 and served as the ninth President of the United States. His presidency is the shortest in U.S. history, lasting only one month. He was also the first U.S. president to die in office.

Harrison’s final resting spot is located on Brower Road, approximately one-half mile west of U.S. 50 in North Bend, Ohio.
