UPDATE: The Green Alert is cancelled as William Singleton has been safely located.
(Boone County, Ky.) - A Green Alert has been issued for William D. Singleton, age 70, of Burlington, Kentucky. Singleton was last seen on Monday, April 6, 2026, at his residence in Burlington.
He is a Vietnam veteran diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.
Singleton left his home without a phone and is believed to be traveling in a 1989 Chevrolet RV-style vehicle, Kentucky registration R3E479. He is reportedly in possession of multiple firearms.
According to bank records, deputies identified two transactions made on this date in the London, Kentucky area. His card was used at a local barbecue restaurant at 11:05 AM, and later at a marina at 3:31 PM. Deputies have been in contact with local law enforcement in London, who confirmed through witness accounts that Singleton was seen at the marina around the time of the transaction.
Singleton is described as a white male, approximately 5'11", 220 lbs., with a bald head and an unshaven face. His clothing description is unknown.
Deputies note that Singleton has a scheduled doctor’s appointment in Louisville on Thursday, April 9, but it is unclear whether he intends to attend.
Family members report that Singleton is known to abuse alcohol, may be suicidal, and that his mental condition is deteriorating.
If you locate William Singleton or his vehicle, do not attempt to contact him and immediately dial 911. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
