(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County Emergency Management Agency is extending a huge thank you to Decatur County REMC for their incredible community support.
Thanks to a generous grant of over $25,000 through the Decatur County Round Up Trust, Ripley County Emergency Management Agency and Ripley County Communications will be adding on several feedlines and antennas to the dedicated commercial grade rooftop antenna system at their operations center.
These new antennas provide vital redundancies needed to implement a robust Communications PACE Plan ensuring emergency managers, 911 dispatchers, and field responders maintain seamless, uninterrupted operational communication when seconds count most.
Ripley County has an ongoing Resilient Communications Project, which is a multi-phase initiative dedicated to hardening public safety communications, expanding backup pathways, and keeping the county fully prepared for any emergency.
"To Decatur County REMC and the members who choose to Round UO thank you for investing in the safety of Ripley County. We are also deeply grateful to all our community partners and past donors who have contributed to this broader mission. We’re not stopping here—we’re actively applying for and pursuing additional grant opportunities to bring every phase of the Resilient Communications Project across the finish line. Stay tuned for more updates as our work continues," reads a statement from Ripley County Emergency Management Agency.
