Franklin Co. Sees First Suspected COVID-19 Related Death

Health officials would like to remind the community of the importance of all citizens doing their part to slow the spread of the virus and protect those in our community who might be more vulnerable.

(Franklin Co., Ind.) - Franklin County Health Officials announced the first known suspected novel COVID-19 related death of a Franklin Co. citizen. 

Yesterday, hospital officials notified the county's health department of the person’s death.

The patient, a male in his 60’s, had been at an Indiana hospital since Friday, March 13. No other information about the patient will be released due to privacy laws.

Health officials would like to remind the community of the importance of all citizens doing their part to slow the spread of the virus and protect those in our community who might be more vulnerable.
