By Travis Thayer (Florence, Ky.) – A northern Kentucky based manufacturer of automotive components is set for a multi-million dollar expansion. The Cincinnati Business Courier reports that German-owned manufacturer Mubea, is planning a $73 million expansion on land in Florence that is already owned by the company. Mubea recently received approval from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority for $2.5 million in incentives for the expansion. The incentives were approved on the condition that Mubea creates and maintains 118 new jobs over the next 10 years. Those jobs are also required to have an average hourly wage of $30. Mubea is the tri-state’s seventh-largest manufacturer, specializing in suspension springs, stabilizer bars, transmission springs, spring band hose clamps and Tailor Rolled Blanks. They currently have 1,400 local employees.
