Flash Flood Watch With Wet Weekend Expected

Any outdoor activities could prove difficult this weekend.

Remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon will cause a wet weekend in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The tri-state will get plenty of rain over the next few days, thanks to what’s left of Tropical Storm Gordon.

The National Weather Service is predicting rain Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Not just rain, but thunderstorms could accompany the downpours.

Some parts of Eagle Country could see three to five inches of rain by the end of the storms on Sunday. Some higher amounts could be received in some areas.

Forecasters have issued a flash flood watch for the region starting Saturday afternoon through early Monday morning. Creeks and streams could see rapid rises.

The tri-state should begin to dry out on Monday, although cloudy skies will remain for most of next week, according to the weather service’s forecast.
