(Brookville, Ind.) - Police thought they had confiscated all the meth in Terrence W. Isaacs’ possession, until it came time for a search of his body as he was being booked into jail.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department arrested Isaacs, 27, after a search of his home on Thursday, September 6. According to Franklin County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Chris Huerkamp, deputies found baggies containing meth, as well as pills, cash, scales, a notebook, and several firearms.

Isaacs was taken to the jail at the Franklin County Security Center in Brookville. The arrested deputy heard what sounded like rocks hitting the floor underneath Isaacs. The “rocks” appeared to be consistent with methamphetamine.

The deputy searched Isaacs’ body, finding bags of meth in his waistband and in some private parts of his anatomy.

The combined weight of the crystal substances, which have been submitted to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for official analysis, was approximately 28 grams, said Huerkamp.

Isaacs is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver at Least 10 Grams (level 2 felony). If convicted, he faces 10 to 30 years in prison.

Isaacs appeared in court on Wednesday, September 12, pleading not guilty. Judge J. Steven Cox set bond at $50,000 cash and $100,000 surety, which Isaacs posted to bailout of jail on September 14. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for November 8.

Huerkamp reported that the investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional charges are possible. He also emphasized that the charge is merely an accusation, and that Isaacs is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
