Dearborn Co. Youth Ambassadors Receive Scholarships at End of Year Dinner

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Dearborn County CASA recently honored Dearborn County Youth Ambassadors at the first annual End of Year Spaghetti Dinner. 

In total, 31 high school students were awarded with letters of recognition and community service hours. Others were honored with scholarships for participating in the Youth Ambassadors Program for the 2024-25 school year. 

The following students received $250 scholarships:

  • Kennerie Cook, ECHS
  • Luka Jones, SDHS
  • Olivia McLane, ECHS
  • Emily Newkirk, ECHS
  • Lily New, LHS
  • Isabel Pearson, SDHS

Three Scholarship Essay Winners received $1,200 each. They are Karson Mollaun (Lawrenceburg), Libby Bimrose (South Dearborn), and Kennerie Cook (East Central)

Dearborn County Youth Ambassadors volunteer outside of their school and extra-curricular commitments to advocate for substance abuse awareness. These individuals strive to provide leadership in our community by setting an example for all of our local youth. They host a Youth Summit each Spring for Dearborn County 8th graders and lead school assemblies for elementary students with their "SPARKS" program.
