New flights at CVG likely helped with increased traffic.

(Hebron, Ky.) - Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport is celebrating a local passenger record.
CVG announced Tuesday an all-time local passenger record in May with more than 387-thousand passengers, surpassing the previous record set in June of 2000.
Additionally, cargo volume continues to drive significant growth at CVG. In May, cargo tonnage grew by more than 22 percent with over 108-thousand tons being shipped.
Eight domestic destinations were recently added at CVG, including San Jose, San Antonio, Austin, Sarasota, Phoenix, Charleston, Raleigh/Durham and Jacksonville. Two more launch the remainder of the year.
Customers can also fly internationally. Last month, CVG added flights to Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Bahama Island; and new low-cost service to Europe began on May 10th with WOW air.
