Civista Bank Announces Support for Customers Facing Financial Hardship Due To Coronavirus

Customers who may be experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact their local personal banker or business relationship manager to learn more about Civista’s assistance programs.

(Sandusky, Oh.) - Throughout these challenging times, Civista Bank is trying to help those that need it most. 

Civista Bank has announced that during the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be different assistance programs and waived fees for those who are being affected. 

Special assistance including payment deferrals, late fee relief, or waived penalties for early Certificate of Deposit (CD) withdrawals are now available to community members experiencing financial hardships.

Civista will also be waiving the monthly service charge for all personal checking accounts through the month of April.

Four different borrower assistance programs including; Consumer and Mortgage Payment Deferral Program, Commercial Loan Payment Deferral Program, Small Business Economic Injury Disaster, and Suspension of Foreclosure Program, are now available to customers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Consumer and Mortgage Payment Deferral Program

Civista is offering eligible customers a payment deferral for up to 90 days. Customers may contact (800) 604-9367 for more information.

Commercial Loan Payment Deferral Program 

Civista is offering eligible customers a payment deferral for up to 90 days. Customers may contact their business relationship manager directly for more information.

Small Business Administration (SBA) - Small Business Economic Injury Disaster 

Indiana and Ohio have been declared disaster states, making businesses and non-profits eligible to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loan Assistance. Payment deferral programs are available based on SBA rules. Apply or learn more at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/

Suspension of Foreclosure Program

Effective immediately until the end of May 2020, Civista will not initiate any new foreclosure action on residential properties unless required by federal or government agencies. As the situation evolves, Civista will evaluate extending this date.
