Homeowners in Hamilton County, Ohio and Ohio County, Indiana were among those victimized.

(Cincinnati, Oh.) – A tri-state area home remodeler is accused of stealing over $200,000 from two dozen victims.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Friday that John J. Drennan has been indicted on a first-degree felony count of Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, 46 felony counts of Theft and two misdemeanor counts of Theft.
Yost says Drennan failed to deliver promised services or refunds after taking payments totaling $212,938 from victims in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, including 11 people in Hamilton County and one person in Ohio County.
The indictment says Drennan used his Cincinnati business, Basement Boost and Bath Boost, to commit the crimes between November 2017 and August 2018.
“This guy was in the business of deception,” Yost said. “Evidence shows he took thousands of dollars from these victims without ever starting any work or delivering supplies for their home repair projects.”
