Camper Destroyed in Friendship Road Fire

(Friendship, Ind.) - Friendship Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a camper fire on Sunday morning. 

The fire broke out around 11:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Friendship Road. 

Upon arrival, firefighters found the camper was fully involved and had collapsed. Approximately 500 gallons of water was utilized to overhaul what remained of the camper.

The fire started from the nearby burn barrel and the high winds blowing embers. No injuries were reported.

"Watch open burning over the next few days. High winds are forecasted due to the weather front moving in this afternoon / evening. Be safe out there," reads a statement from Friendship Volunteer Fire Department.
