(Ripley County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Inc. announces plans to close State Road 46 over Little Pipe Creek on or after Monday, April 3 for a bridge replacement project in Ripley County.
The bridge is located between N. County Road 600 E. and S.R. 101 west of Penntown and is expected to remain closed for up to 120 days, weather permitting.
Motorists should use the official detour route, which follows I-74 to S.R. 101 back to S.R 46.
The contract was awarded to Paul H. Rohe Inc. for $1.4 million in October 2022. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
