Aurora Police Purchase New Equipment With Rising Sun Regional Foundation Grant

The funding was used to outfit all officers with multiple new items.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Aurora Police are extending a thank you to the Rising Sun Regional Foundation for a generous grant used toward the purchase of new equipment.

As a result of the grant, Aurora Police were able to outfit all police officers with a ballistic shield, body armor plates, and hearing protection.

An additional taser and cartridges were also purchased.

According to the Aurora Police Department, the new items will play a crucial role in day-to-day calls and will aid in keeping officers better prepared to serve the community.
