Aurora Police Chief Charged With Domestic Violence

We’re learning more about a local police chief’s arrest for domestic battery.

 

Indiana State Police say Aurora Chief of Police Bryan Fields and his wife, Holly, were in a physical confrontation at their home on Harrison Avenue in Aurora at about 4:00 a.m. Sunday. Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home in reference to a domestic battery.

 

The altercation resulted in Holly Fields, 42, being taken to Dearborn County Hospital. State police say charges may also be filed against her as the investigation continues.

 

Bryan Fields, 42, could appear in court as soon as Monday. His status with the police department is unclear.

(Aurora, Ind.) - A local police chief is in jail in Dearborn County after being arrested Sunday morning.

Aurora Chief of Police Bryan H. Fields was booked into jail at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center just before 7:00 a.m. The Dearborn County Sheriff's Department website shows that Fields, 42, was being held on a charge of misdemeanor Domestic Battery.

 

Specific details of Fields' arrest were not immediately available.
