(Batesville, Ind.) - Citizens Aquatic Center, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting swimming excellence and water safety, is pleased to announce the acquisition of a large parcel with adequate acreage to meet current and future needs on January 17, 2025.

This acquisition represents a pivotal moment in the organization’s endeavor to establish a premier aquatic center for the Batesville community and surrounding regions.

“This acquisition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating a comprehensive aquatic hub that will serve athletes, families, and individuals seeking therapeutic and recreational water activities,” stated a representative of Citizens Aquatic.

Citizens Aquatic Center, Inc. will be working with an outside firm to conduct a feasibility study to determine the size, scope and features of the facility. The current group will also be expanding with the addition of an Action Committee. Members of this committee will represent the various stake holder groups that will be able to leverage the facility once complete.

The project is totally sustained through community donations and corporate sponsorships, with ongoing fundraising initiatives. Citizens Aquatic cordially invites local residents and businesses to support this transformative community resource by contributing to its development.
