Bright Community Festival is the main fundraiser for Bright Fire & EMS. This year's festival dates are Friday July 23rd & Saturday July 24th. We will be bringing back the Pork BBQ Dinner on Friday starting at 6 pm. Friday night will be adding a warm-up band, Channel Kat's from 6 - 8 pm and the Amy Sailor Band from 9 - midnight. After the parade at 3 pm that will march through downtown Bright, there is a Fried Chicken Dinner starting at 4 pm. Saturday night will have two bands, South Bound Sound from 6 - 8 pm and the Danny Frazier Band from 9 - midnight. Festival Permit # AE101551 & Gaming License # 000616 IGC Ref # 153980.

The scholarship is awarded to adults looking to continue or pursue their education. The race is to honor Denny and Bev Carrigan.

East Central won the sectional in boys track and the baseball team secured at least a share of the EIAC title.
