South Ripley, JCD, Switz Sports Stars Shine In Latest ORVC Report

Find out who the top performers were for the week of August 26-31.

(Versailles, Ind.) - South Ripley, Jac-Cen-Del and Switzerland County student-athletes highlight the latest Ohio River Valley Conference weekly report.

South Ripley’s Lindsey Meyer is the ORVC Volleyball Player of the week for August 26-31. The Lady Raiders star totaled 53 digs, 39 kills, 93 percent pass and 88 percent serve in two matches.

Fellow Lady Raider Lanie Nicholson was named the ORVC Girls Runner of the Week. Nicholson had a time of 21:27 at the South Decatur meet.

The ORVC Boys Runner of the Week went to Jac-Cen-Del’s Damon Hughes, who finished the South Dearborn meet with a time of 18:00.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Tracy McKittrick is the ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week. She shot 60 at North Branch.

In boys soccer, Switzerland County star Levi Curlin earned weekly honors with four goals and two assists over a two game span.

Rising Sun’s Hannah Warr and Switzerland County’s Matty Anderson are the ORVC Girls Soccer Players of the Week. Both netted four goals each last week.
