Seven Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

(Vevay, Ind.) - Seven student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference for the week of September 22-27.

Emma Parsons is the ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week. The Switzerland County star totaled five goals and three assists in two matches. She also became Switzerland County's all-time leading goal scorer with 102 career goals.

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Southwestern's Conner Johnson. He scored six goals in three matches.

Milan's Gabe Riehle, Shawe Memorial's Cavaan Hambrick, and Switzerland County's Claire Boggs are the ORVC Cross Country Runners of the Week.

Boggs finished first at the Great Pumpkin Invitational in Versailles with a time of 21:24. Riehle won the boys race with a time of 16:33. Hambrick placed 9th at Versailles and 16th at the Duke Meyer Classic.

The Southwestern duo of Jenna Owens and Rorie Scroggins are the ORVC Volleyball Players of the Week. Both hit career marks last week. Owens reached 500 career kills while Scroggins recorded her 700th career kill.
