Milan's Riehle, South Ripley's Bastin Among ORVC Weekly Honorees

Four of the seven weekly honorees are Shawe Memorial student-athletes

The ORVC Report for August 22-27 was released on Tuesday.

Switzerland County’s Halle Archer earned ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week honors with four goals and an assist over two games. Archer has been on fire to start the season, tallying 13 goals and 3 assists over five games – helping the Lady Pacers to a 5-0 start.

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Jacob Hertz. The Shawe Memorial star scored six goals and assisted on two others in two matches.

Milan’s Ben Riehle is the ORVC Boys Runner of the Week. Riehle finished first at the Lawrenceburg tri-meet on August 24 with a time of 18:46. He also ran 17:09 at South Decatur.

The ORVC Girls Runners of the Week are South Ripley’s Shelby Bastin and Shawe Memorial’s Calli Alderman.

Harlee Hill, of Shawe Memorial is the ORVC Volleyball Player of the Week.

Sticking to the Shawe Memorial theme, Kira Wells was named the ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week after carding a 49 at Sunrise and a 47 at Westwood.
