(Milan, Ind.) - Last night, the Milan HS boys swim team competed in the Sectional Prelims at Columbus North.

This was a great night for these boys. Many swimmers made it to the Finals on Saturday in the top 16 while others competed their personal best in the season:

  • Brad Drew- 100 Back
  • Parley Hartwell- 50 Free, 100 Breast
  • JJ Mutz- 200 IM, 100 Breast
  • Gabe Ridgon- 200 IM
  • Dylan Thomas- 100 Free, 100 Back
  • 200 Medley- Top 8
  • 800 Medley- Top 8

Dylan Thomas broke two school records at this meet. He succeeded in his goals of breaking the 100 Free and 100 Back school records.

For school spirit, many of the boys participated in the bleaching of hair then dying it an exotic color. For many years, the boys participated in this to show support for one another. The girls swim team also showed support.

According to Tina Mutz, “The swimmers and coaches put so much work in and it was amazing to watch. Great job swimmers and coaches! You turned heads once again.”

Good luck to these boys as they advance to the Finals on Saturday morning!
