Local Trio to Join Forces at IFCA North/South All-Star Game

The game will be played July 11 at Decatur Central High School.

INDIANAPOLIS – Batesville, East Central, and Milan will be represented at the Indiana Football Coaches Association’s annual North/South All-Star Game.

Running back Gage Pohlman, linebacker Carson Pieczonka, and offensive lineman Landon Stanley will play for the South Team at the 59th Annual Murat Shrine North/South Football All-Star Classic.

The game will be played on Friday, July 11 at Decatur Central High School. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Pohlman, an All-State selection as a senior, led the Bulldogs in rushing last fall with 1,306 yards on 200 carries. He scored 11 times on the ground and added 152 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Pohlman finished his career as Batesville’s all-time leading rusher with 4,016 career yards.

Pieczonka, a Thomas More University commit, was an IFCA Senior All-State selection in Class 5A this past season. He made 158 career tackles with 10 interceptions and was a starter on two state championship teams.

Stanley, a Mount St. Joseph University commit, is a two-time IFCA All-State selection, earning the honor as a junior and senior.

Also representing the South Team will be East Central Assistant Coach Tom Harris.
