Jac-Cen-Del and Batesville were among the winners in the IHSAA Volleyball State Tournament on Thursday night.


Class 3A Sectional 29 at Lawrenceburg (First Round)

Greensburg 3, Lawrenceburg 0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-16) - The Lady Tigers end the season with an 18-8 record. 

Batesville 3, Connersville 0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-17) - 

*Semifinal matchups: Franklin County vs. Rushville (Saturday at 11 AM) and Greensburg vs. Batesville (Saturday at 12:30 PM). Championship at 7:00 PM.


Class 2A Sectional 45 at South Decatur (First Round)

North Decatur 3, Southwestern 0 (25-15, 27-25, 25-15) 

South Decatur 3, Switzerland County 1 (21-25, 27-25, 25-23, 25-18)

*Semifinal matchups: North Decatur vs. South Ripley (Saturday at 11 AM) & South Decatur vs. Milan (Saturday at 1 PM). Championship at 7:00. 


Class 1A Sectional 62 at Trinity Lutheran (First Round)

Trinity Lutheran 3, Oldenburg Academy 0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-8)

Jac-Cen-Del 3, Crothersville 0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-16) 

*Semifinal matchups: Rising Sun vs. West Washington (Saturday at 11 AM) & Trinity Lutheran vs. JCD (Saturday at 1 PM). Championship at 7:00.

- Rising Sun has pulled out of the sectional semifinals due to a positive COVID-19 case. There will be no makeup and West Washington advances to the Championship.
