(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Seven high school girls basketball players from southeast Indiana have been named top players in their class.
The Hoosier Basketball Magazine released Thursday its Top Senior Girls’ high school player list for the 2018-19 season.
The list was put together by numerous Indiana Basketball Coaches Association coaches, sportswriters, sportscasters, college recruiters and referees throughout Indiana.
Locally, the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference was represented by East Central’s Logan Cox and Alyssa Robben, South Dearborn’s Alyssa McClanahan and Batesville’s Hattie Westerfeld.
Jac-Cen-Del’s Mariah Day and South Ripley Elexah Roepke also made the list, representing the Ohio River Valley Conference.
Oldenburg Academy star Katie Kinker rounded out the local selections to the Top Senior Girls list.
The Top Senior Girls list will be narrowed down to a final list of 60 seniors. Those 60 girls will be invited to Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 38th annual Top 60 Senior Girls’ Workout on March 3 at Marian University in Indianapolis.
