(Osgood, Ind.) – Jac-Cen-Del High School senior Julia Meyer is one of six basketball players statewide to earn Player of the Week honors from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Meyer was selected as District 3 Girls Player of the Week for the week of December 4-9.
The Lady Eagles star helped her team to a pair of road wins last week, defeating Waldron, 62-46, on Tuesday evening, followed by a 54-32 win over New Washington on Saturday.
Meyer posted a double-double at Waldron with 25 points and 13 rebounds. She then added 18 points and 12 rebounds against New Washington.
Through 10 games, Meyer is averaging 14.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
Jac-Cen-Del is off to an 8-2 start. They return to action Tuesday against North Decatur (6-4).
