IHSAA Announces Sectional Pairings for 58th Annual Baseball State Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana High School Baseball State Tournament is right around the corner. 

On Sunday evening, the IHSAA announced the pairings for the 58th annual Baseball State Tournament. 

A field of 383 teams will begin sectional play on Wednesday, May 28 and continue through Monday, June 2 with regionals on Saturday, June 7. 

Two regional championship games will be played in a doubleheader format at the same location with each winner advancing to the four-team semi-state on Saturday, June 14. 

The four state championship games will be played at Victory Field in Indianapolis, home of the Triple-A franchise Indianapolis Indians, for the 27th year overall. The games will be played in a doubleheader format on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21.

Host schools will announce playing schedules which will then be added to the online brackets at MaxPreps.com the week before the tournament begins.

Class 4A Sectional 14 at Columbus East 

G1: Columbus North vs. Whiteland Community
G2: Columbus East vs. Franklin Community
G3: East Central vs. Winner G1
Championship: Winner G2 vs. Winner G3

 

Class 3A Sectional 29 at Jennings County

G1: Franklin County vs. Batesville
G2: Lawrenceburg vs. Jennings County
G3: Winner G1 vs. Winner G2
G4: Greensburg vs. South Dearborn
Championship: Winner G3 vs. Winner G4

 

Class 2A Sectional 45 at Switzerland County

G1: Southwestern (Hanover) vs. Brownstown Central
G2: Austin vs. Brown County
G3: Winner G1 vs. Winner G2
G4: Switzerland County vs. South Ripley
Championship: Winner G3 vs. Winner G4

 

Class A Sectional 60 at Jac-Cen-Del

G1: Shawe Memorial vs. Crothersville
G2: Milan vs. Oldenburg Academy
G3: Jac-Cen-Del vs. Hauser
G4: Rising Sun vs. Trinity Lutheran
