(Moores Hill, Ind.) - The Greendale Middle School boys cross country team captured another impressive victory at the South Dearborn Invitational, a meet that featured 10 competing schools. The Tigers’ dominant performance adds to their winning season as they now set their sights on the upcoming Conference Championships in Greensburg on September 29 and the Indiana Middle School State Finals on October 4.

The boys’ team was led by 7th grader James Pursell, who turned in another standout performance and set a course record of 10:36, followed closely by Henry Gilliland, Elijah Noppert, Brenden Wurtzler, and Miles Lightner. Their collective effort secured the team title and continues to showcase Greendale’s depth and determination.

On the girls’ side, Ava Shelton and Lily Kearns both punched their tickets to the Indiana Middle School State Championships, highlighting the strength of the Tigers’ program across the board.

Head Coach Justin Noppert praised his athletes:

“I am very proud of the hard work and dedication these runners are putting in this year. Their commitment in practice and on race day continues to pay off, and I can’t wait to see how they perform at conference and state.”

Additional notable performances included boys’ state qualifiers Jude Noppert, Liam Reade, and Lucas Ashcraft, who will join their teammates in representing Greendale at the state level.
