(Columbus, Oh.) – Curtis Eckstein was first to cross the finish line at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon.
The 27-year-old from Batesville finished the 13-mile race in 1:04:59.
That time was 31 seconds better than the second-place finisher.
Eckstein is an incredibly accomplished runner. In high school, he won the IHSAA Boys Cross Country individual state championship for Oldenburg Academy. He also won the 3200-meter state championship during the track & field season the following spring.
