ORVC Names Players of the Week for September 7-12

(Vevay, Ind.) - Five student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC Report for September 7-12 was released on Tuesday. 

Switzerland County's Taylor Kappes was named the ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week. The Lady Pacers star scored three goals and assisted on four more in two matches. 

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Weston Cumberworth. The Shiners star scored six goals (two hat tricks) over three matches. 

Milan's Kayleigh McIntosh is the ORVC Volleyball Player of the Week. She totaled 14 kills, 50 digs, and 22 aces in four matches. 

The ORVC Cross Country Runners of the Week are Harper Green (Southwestern) and Mason Bascom (South Ripley). Green set a school record with a 19:45 at Brown County. Bascom ran an 18:25 at Jac-Cen-Del.

In girls golf, Switzerland County captured their 4th straight ORVC title. Alexis Mangold was the round medalists with an 81.
