(Batesville, Ind.) -  Cole Pride has been named one of the top 60 senior boys basketball players in Indiana by the Hoosier Basketball Magazine.

Pride was selected from approximately 1,500 senior players statewide to attend the annual HBM Top 60 Senior Boys Basketball Workout on Sunday, March 26.

The event will be held at Marian University in Indianapolis.

Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the season to determine the Top 60 list.

Pride had earned All-EIAC status as a senior by averaging 15.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 3.0 blocks per game.

The 6’8” forward helped Batesville to a 17-7 record and an appearance in the Class 3A Sectional 29 championship game.

In addition to being a tremendous basketball player, Pride is strong in the classroom. He was named to the IBCA First Team Academic All-State earlier this month.

To be considered for Academic All-State honors, senior student-athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, a class rank in the upper 25 percent and either an SAT score of 1100 or an ACT composite score of 24.

Sunday’s Top 60 Workout is open to the public. Admission is $8 per person ($5 for elementary age students). Pride will take the floor with players form northern and southern Indiana between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
