Batesville's Grunkemeyer Commits to Northwestern

Make that two D-I commits on the Bulldogs roster.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Another Batesville High School baseball star has committed to a Division I school.

On Tuesday, Jack Grunkemeyer announced his commitment to Northwestern.

Grunkemeyer is a three-time All-EIAC selection.

Last season as a junior, he hit .342 with two home runs, nine doubles, and drove in 27 runs, while scoring 19 times. On the mound, Grunkemeyer went 4-2 with a 2.03 ERA. He struck out 61 batters in 38 innings pitched.

Grunkemeyer joins teammate and fellow pitcher Will Jaisle as a D-I commit. Jaisle committed to Notre Dame in September.
