Batesville One Win Away from State Title Game

The Bulldogs travel to #2 Heritage Hill tonight.

(Batesville, Ind.) – The Batesville Bulldogs hope to punch their ticket to the Class 3A state championship with a win tonight.

Batesville will have to get through #2 Heritage Hills to get to Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis next week.

The Bulldogs advanced to the semi-state in dramatic fashion last Friday, defeating Tri-West 41-37 on a last-minute touchdown pass from Will Jaisle to Damien Dance.

The win sets up a rematch with Heritage Hills, who knocked Batesville out of the state tournament last season in the regional round by a score of 24-21.

Batesville enters this year's matchup with a record of 9-3. Heritage Hills is 12-1. The winner will play Garrett or Fort Wayne Luers for the Class 3A state title next Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Tonight's semi-state matchup will be streamed on the IHSAA Champions Network starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.
