Anna Black Signs to Play Soccer at Hanover College

Black was one of two Lilly Scholarship winners in Dearborn County last month.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - Anna Black excels in the classroom and in athletics. 

In December, the East Central High School senior was selected as one of two Lilly Scholarship recipients in Dearborn County, earning a full tuition scholarship to the Indiana college or university of her choice. 

That choice has been made as Black recently signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Hanover College. 

Black is a three-sport athlete at East Central, but it will be soccer that she continues to play at the collegiate level. She has been an All-District and All-Conference performer throughout her high school career. This past fall, Black played a key role in leading the Trojans to a semi-state appearance. 

In the classroom, Black is a National Honor Society member, who ranks first in her class with a 4.293 GPA. She also participates in Trojans Exchange, Eco Club, and AOK Club. 

Black plans to study Biochemistry at Hanover College.
