WorkOne Center To Open In Vevay

(Vevay, Ind.) - Indiana WorkOne will open a new office in Switzerland County this summer.

Currently, residents there have to travel to Madison or Lawrenceburg to get to a WorkOne office. The new, more convenient location will be at 708 W. Seminary Street in Vevay.

It is anticipated to open by July 1.

The satellite office will assist people considering a change in employment, looking for a job, or needing assistance with unemployment insurance.

“We are excited about making our services available locally to Switzerland County residents”, said Bart Brown, President/CEO of the Indiana Region 9 Workforce Board, Inc. “The vision and determination of Switzerland County leaders to help residents get good-paying jobs made this Switzerland County WorkOne Satellite Office possible.”

The number of services the new WOrkOne center offers will still be limited compared to other offices in the state. Free workshops and seminars will still be held at the Madison and Lawrenceburg locations.

Office hours and staffing arrangements will be announced soon, officials said.
