(Holton, Ind.) - The Holton Regional Water Corporation, in consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, has determined that customers should boil their drinking water.
Starting Monday, June 23, Hoosier Hills Regional Water District will be shutting off water for repair work. At that time, all Holton Water customers will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
The precautionary measure is recommended due to a drinking water problem within the Holton Water service area.
It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for three to five minutes before using.
Until the drinking water problem is resolved, Holton Water customers are asked to conserve water and only use what is necessary for household and personal needs.
A Voluntary boil advisory will be in effect Monday - Thursday for Hoosier Hills Water customers at State Road 101 and Old Milan and everyone south of 101 and Old Milan.
Please note this repair is weather permitting
