The event takes place this Saturday.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The next Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative (DCALI) roadside clean-up is Saturday, April 11 at State Line Hill from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The Bright Fire Department is again assisting with this clean-up. Volunteers from the community are also needed.

Volunteers will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Sugar Ridge Golf Club for supplies and safety instructions.

During the cleanup, State Line Hill will be closed to traffic between the two entrances of Augusta Drive from 9 a.m. to noon. Detour is Augusta Drive. Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies will be on site.

DCALI thanks Rich Martin of Sugar Ridge for continued help with organizing the State Line Hill clean-up, and the Deaborn County Sheriff's Office and Dearborn County Highway Department for their assistance with all DCALI clean-ups over many years.

DCALI volunteers have been organizing roadside cleanups for more than 10 years. In 2025, there was a record number of volunteers, and more are needed as additional clean-ups are scheduled. This is a great opportunity for families and for student community service. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

-- Saturday, May 9 - York Ridge Hill. Thank you to York Township Trustee Greggory Callahan and the Miller-York Fire Department for continued help with organizing.

-- Saturday, May 16 - Jamison Road. Thank you to the Bright Fire Department for helping to organize.
