(Rising Sun, Ind.) - A new ferry boat between Rising Sun and Rabbit Hash is in the water. Rising Star Casino owner Full House Resorts Inc. shared a video Wednesday of a new ferry boat being launched into the Ohio River. The casino is establishing the ferry in hopes of attracting more visitors from northern Kentucky. It will hold 10 cars each trip across the river. Full House Resorts has not announced a date that the ferry will begin offering trips across the river. In an update to its investors last November, the Las Vegas-based company said it hoped to commence ferry boat operations in the spring of 2018. Approvals were needed from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for construction of roads and ramps on both sides of the river, the company stated last year. This past summer, Rising Star Casino debuted a $1.5 million, 56-space RV park on its property in another bid to bring in more customers.
