(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Dearborn County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is seeking your input.
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 30 starting at 9:00 AM.
The meeting will discuss the top natural resource concerns in the county. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) uses a list of top resource concerns identified through this process for Dearborn County in ranking applications for programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
Currently, NRCS is accepting applications for programs that provide potential incentive payments for conservation practices to be installed in 2027.
Those interested in attending the public meeting should contact SWCD at 812-926-24-6, ext. 3 to make a reservation.
You can also participate by contacting SWCD office for materials and the Natural Resources Checklist that can be completed and returned to the office by mail or email.
Checklists will need to be returned by July 6.
