(Versailles, Ind.) - The Versailles Fire Department held their Annual Awards Banquet at the Tanglewood in Versailles on Saturday evening.
At the event, Jason Hooten was named the 2025 Firefighter of the Year. The Chief's Award went to Jayden Hunger.
Years of Service members recognized were:
- James Vest 20 years
- Bryan Buchanan 15 years
- Tony Franklin 5 years
- Tanner Franklin 5 years
- Nathan Pelfrey 5 years
Robert Kelly-Anderson, Johnnie Seaver, Rick Dillion, William Moore and Jason Hooten were recognized for the most training hours for the year.
The Top Responder of the Year was Bryan Buchanan. Nathan Pelfrey, Robert Kelly-Anderson, Jason Hooten, Brad Dillion, Tony Franklin, William Moore, Jayden Hunger, Rick Dillion, and Randy Hornsby rounded out the top 10 responders of the year.
The Officer of the Year for 2025 was Randy Hornsby.
Officers that were promoted and pinned were: Tony Franklin Lt., Brad Dillion Lt., Nathan Pelfrey Lt., Safety Officer Jason Hooten and Deputy Chief Rick Dillion.
