U.S. Navy Veteran, Harrison VFW Post Commander Passes Away at 79

(Harrison, Oh.) – A beloved member of the Harrison VFW Post 7570 has passed away.

Harry Power passed on Wednesday at the age of 79.

Following graduation from Mt. Healthy High School in 1963, Power served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee deployed with Mobile Battalion #6 in Vietnam and in Gitmo.

Power was a post commander and very active at the VFW Post 7570 in Harrison. He was also a member of the Harrison Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19 at 10:30 a.m., also at Jackman Hensley.

A burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy and Harrison Honor Guard will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
