(Versailles, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor 5 Star Company, Inc. plans to close U.S. 50 later this week for a pipe replacement between North Gaslight Drive and South High Street in Versailles.
On or after Friday, October 20, U.S. 50 will close to traffic beginning at approximately 6 p.m. The closure is expected to last up to three days, weather permitting. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows U.S. 421 to S.R. 350 to S.R. 129 and back to U.S. 50. Following the closure, drivers can expect flagging while crews complete paving, striping, and cleanup work.
This project is part of a $926,600 contract awarded to 5 Star Company, Inc. in April 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
