Two in Custody After Stabbing Incident in Cleves

The incident took place Sunday morning at a home on Pontius Avenue.

(Cleves, Oh.) – Two men are in custody after reports of an assault and stabbing in Cleves.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 170 block of Pontius Avenue on Sunday morning around 11:20 a.m.

The initial investigation determined that two people had sustained stab wounds and medical assistance was requested.

The two subjects, Ron Sipple and Cody Ray Otto, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Sipple and Otto forced their way into the residence on Pontius Avenue where a physical altercation led to Otto sustaining stab wounds and Sipple sustaining minor wounds after attacking the homeowner who stabbed Otto.

Investigators determined the stabbing of Otto was self-defense.

Otto, 19, and Sipple, 42, have been charged with one count of Aggravated Battery.
