Home Fire on Ridge Avenue

Emergency services were called on scene at 1:48 p.m.

(Greendale, Ind.) - A structure fire was reported at 1:48 p.m. this afternoon on Ridge Ave. 

Two individuals were home when the fire began and were evacuated with help from people outside who could see smoke coming from inside the house.

Responders had obstacles while battling the fire, such as a very high winds and a power line falling on scene.

On scene were Greendale, Lawrenceburg, Aurora, Bright, Miller York, Whitewater, and Miami Township Fire Departments. Greendale and Aurora EMS were also on scene, as well as the City of Greendale Electric Company to fix the power lines.

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be under investigation.
