Two Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Employees Announce Retirement

Both employees served over twenty years.

(Brookville, Ind.) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department celebrated two employees after announcing their retirement. Deputy John Roberts and Clerk Debbie Combs have retired after both serving for over 20 years.

Deputy John Roberts served for 21 years before retiring in February. Roberts originally served as a reserve officer before joining the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Roberts was a K-9 handler and firearms instructor for FCSD.

Clerk Debbie Combs gave the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department 24 years of service. Combs started as a part-time clerk before moving into a full-time role.  She was responsible for maintaining inmate records, background checks, and banking related duties.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department congratulates them both on their well-deserved retirement and wishes them well with their next chapter in life.
