(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - All funds in a $275,000 Grant Fund to support Dearborn businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic has been distributed to 24 local businesses by the Southeast Indiana Chamber Foundation (SICF).

The fund, which was applied for by the SICF on behalf of Dearborn County was established using a grant from Indiana’s Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).  Any Dearborn County business impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic was eligible to apply.

The $250,000 grant from OCRA was supplemented by matching funds from Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce, One Dearborn, the Civista Charitable Foundation and the Southeast Indiana Port Authority which pushed the total fund to $275,000.

“This program was the result of hard work from the Dearborn County commissioners, multiple local non-profit and government organizations and a dedicated grant committee” said Eric Kranz, executive director of the SICF. “We received requests for $800,000 and the committee focused on need and overall impact when making tough decisions on fund allocations. 100% of the $275,000 was distributed to deserving businesses here in Dearborn County.”

The Southeast Indiana Chamber Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit charitable sister organization of the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce. The SICF, along with community partners, will continue to seek opportunities to help local businesses recover from the effects of the pandemic.
