Aurora Business Owner Convicted of Battery for Acts With Teenage Girl

On Friday, July 31 he was sentenced to the maximum penalty for a Class B misdemeanor: 180 days in jail, all executed.

(Aurora, IN) - A Dearborn County jury convicted Aymen M. Migdadi, a local business owner of the Road Dog in Aurora, of Battery, a Class B Misdemeanor, following a jury trial on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

The case arose after a 17-year-old girl stopped at the Road Dog seeking help putting air in a tire. The State proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Migdadi hugged the victim, grabbed her buttocks, grabbed her hips, and ground his pelvis against hers.

Migdadi was originally charged with Sexual Battery, a Level 6 felony and Battery, a Class B Misdemeanor. The jury found him guilty on the Class B Misdemeanor Battery. The jury acquitted Migdadi of the Sexual Battery charge. 

Following the verdict, Judge Sally McLaughlin remanded Migdadi to the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. On Friday, July 31 he was sentenced to the maximum penalty for a Class B misdemeanor: 180 days in jail, all executed.

“This young woman entered a local business asking for help and had every right to expect that she would be treated with respect,” Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens said. “Her courage in coming forward, cooperating with law enforcement, and testifying before a jury ensured that the defendant was held accountable.”

The case was tried by Deputy Prosecutors Amanda Johnson and Brendan Jones.
